Louisville is one win away from clinching a spot in the ACC Championship vs. undefeated Florida State, and a date with Miami awaits in Week 12.
College Football Week 12 Louisville vs. Miami odds preview
The Cardinals have taken care of business since losing to Pittsburgh by a wide margin in Week 7, winning three straight games by an average of 20 points.
Things got dicey last Saturday vs. Virginia when the Cavaliers scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter to take a seven-point lead. But Louisville stepped up in the final frame, outsourcing Virginia 17-3 en route to a 31-24 victory.
Meanwhile, Miami suffered a heartbreaking 27-20 defeat to Florida State. After an early third-quarter field goal gave the Hurricanes a three-point lead, FSU outscored the U 17-7.
Miami has six wins on the year, and with bowl eligibility secured, the Canes’ only motivation in Week 12 is pride and spoiling the Cardinals’ postseason dreams. The U hosts the game at Hard Rock Stadium, though Miami fans have never supplied much in terms of home-field advantage, especially with the ACC Championship out of the picture.
Louisville vs. Miami best bets and odds: Louisville moneyline (-105 or better)
The Cardinals have leaned on their rushing attack a ton in 2023 but will need a strong outing from Jack Plummer to punch a ticket to the ACC Championship. Miami has the ACC’s best rushing defense, surrendering 86 yards per game. In last week’s win, FSU’s Trey Benson was limited to 80 yards.
Miami also leads the conference with 32 sacks, snagging nine interceptions. Louisville has easily won games where Plummer avoids interceptions, making ball security crucial for the Cardinals.
With far more motivation to earn the win, expect Louisville to come out on top.
Louisville vs. Miami best bets and odds: Isaac Guerendo anytime touchdown scorer (+130 or better)
The Indiana native has come on strong with the regular season winding down. Guerendo has seven touchdowns, and six have come since Week 7.
Guerendo has scored in all but one of the last four games. Last week’s touchdown came on a 73-yard run late in the game to seal the Cardinals’ victory over Virginia.
