Louisiana man dead after interstate wreck in Mobile County sparks fire
A Louisiana man died when his car crashed into a truck and burst into flames on I-10 in Mobile County.
On Tuesday night, Fredy Yanes-Ulloa, 33, was driving near I-10′s five-mile marker about nine miles west of Mobile when his Dodge Challenger hit a pickup truck at 9:28 p.m., Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesperson Reginal King said.
Yanes-Ulloa’s car caught fire, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilbern Smith, 58, also of Louisiana was injured in the crash and was transported to University Hospital in Mobile.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division troopers are investigating the crash, King said.
