Louisiana man charged in Alabama with sending child porn to minor
A Louisiana man is facing charges in Alabama after he allegedly sent child pornography to a minor, authorities said Wednesday.
John Eric Hardwick, 38, of Gonzales, Louisiana, was arrested Tuesday on charges of display of child pornography and two counts of transmitting obscene material to a child, according to Cherokee County jail records.
Centre police started an investigation in December, which led to Hardwick being “positively identified as the offender of submitting sexually explicit images to a minor to include child pornography.,” the department said on its Facebook page.
Warrants were obtained against Hardwick shortly after he was identified as a suspect.
Gonzales police and the Louisiana attorney general’s office apprehended Hardwick at his home last month, Centre police said.
The case against Hardwick is pending in court.
