When the Auburn’s men’s basketball team returns to the floor this coming season, the Tigers will do so in new uniforms, which were unveiled on the social platform X — formerly known as Twitter — Monday.

Auburn’s new threads feature slight changes, such as the Under Armour logo being moved to the center of the jersey collar and both the jerseys and shorts featuring “Northwestern Stripes”.

In uniform speak, “Northwestern Stripes” means there being two narrow stripes that sandwich a wider stripe. In the case of the Auburn, the Tigers’ white uniforms feature a navy-orange-navy Northwestern Stripe, while the Tigers’ navy uniforms feature a white-orange-white Northwestern Stripe.

According to Clint Richardson of AuburnUniforms.com, the Tigers’ new uniforms closely resemble those worn throughout the 1979-83 season.

Auburn also unveiled its alternate orange uniforms on Monday, which are also throwback-inspired as they mirror those worn in the 1980s with stripes running down the sides of the jerseys and sides of the shorts.
