The old tapes were in a box in his closet. Recordings Wyatt Akins made playing bass with his band Dead Pigeons in 1984 back when he was a teenager attending Lee High School.

Forty years later, Dead Pigeons’ lone studio album is being released, with demos from that era included as bonus tracks on a vinyl record.
