Live updates: UAB basketball seeks regular-season sweep of Louisiana Tech
Welcome back to Bartow Arena, where the UAB basketball team plays host to Louisiana Tech while attempting to get back on track after dropping five of its last six games.
The Blazers enter tonight’s game at 13-7 overall, 4-5 in C-USA and 82 in the NCAA NET. UAB is the 10th-ranked scoring offense (83.4 ppg) in the nation and can earn a regular-season sweep of Louisiana Tech in the final regular-season matchup as conference rivals. — Trey Jemison scores off an Eric Gaines’ assist following the timeout but LA Tech hits a 6-0 run to take a 16-9 lead at the 14:07 mark of the half.
— LA Tech 10, UAB 7 (16:00) | Under-16 timeout: Trey Jemison fouls LA Tech’s Cobe Williams on a 3-point attempt and Williams makes a three to give the Bulldogs a 10-7 lead. UAB is fouled and has possession out of the first media timeout.
— Eric Gaines takes a wide-open pass o the wing and drains the first 3-pointer of the game for the Blazers. Trey Jemison and Ledarrius Brewer score on assisted layups to tie the game at 7-all with a little less than three minutes played.
— LA Tech wins the tip and Eric Gaines is charged with a foul on the Blazers’ first defensive possession of the game.
