FIRST HALF

Alabama 36, Georgia 14 (11:24): This is looking like a few of Alabama’s other get-right games this season — Vanderbilt, LSU and Florida, most notably — where the Tide is a runaway train out of the gate. Alabama has opened by scoring on 14 of its first 15 possessions for an off-the-charts 2.4 points per possession. Alabama is 6-of-8 on three-pointers, including 4-of-4 from Mark Sears, and is shooting 76.5 percent overall. The Tide is out-rebounding Georgia, 10-5, and has no turnovers to nine assists.

Alabama 18, Georgia 6 (16:23): It is a three-point shooting exhibition for Alabama, which has only attempted three-pointers so far and is 5-of-6. Brandon Miller also hit three free throws. Georgia called a timeout after Alabama scored 18 points on its first six possessions.

PREGAME

— Nick and Terry Saban are here, sitting with athletics director Greg Byrne. It is the second game this season Saban has attended, after the Kentucky game in early January. They are sitting next to Herb Jones, who is visiting this weekend during the NBA all-star break.

— Same lineup as usual for Alabama: Jaden Bradley, Mark Sears, Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney and Charles Bediako.

— Nate Oats said on his pregame Crimson Tide Sports Network radio interview that Charles Bediako (knee) will play. “We’re going to give him a go again and see what he looks like,” Oats said, noting it has been a week since Bediako’s injury against Auburn and his rehabilitation session Saturday morning was his best yet. Oats complimented Bediako for showing “toughness” in playing against Tennessee when he was not 100 percent.
