Day 3 of the AHSAA state basketball finals will include girls and boys teams from Classes 5A and 6A.
In the first session, the Hazel Green girls will try to continue their quest for a state record sixth straight state title against McGill-Toolen. In the second session, the undefeated Valley boys will close the night against Scottsboro.

8:35 AM, Record breakers? Five-time defending champ Hazel Green is on the floor first today against McGill-Toolen. Trojans need two wins to claim a sixth straight state title, breaking an AHSAA record for boys and girls. McGill has been in the final four eight times in the last nine years but has yet to win a title.
