Live updates from Friday’s AHSAA state basketball championships
Six state champions will be crowned Friday at Legacy Arena and a Hall of Fame coaching career will end.
Ronald Jackson’s T.R. Miller team will take on Good Hope in the Class 4A girls championship game at 4 p.m. Jackson already has announced his retirement after 41 years of coaching.
In Class 2A, the Mars Hill boys and girls will go for a sweep of the 2A titles, while the top-ranked Jackson boys try to win their first state title in the nightcap against American Christian.

8:42 AM, The matchup: Reigning champ Mars Hill is looking for its ninth state title behind super freshman Belle Hill. Ider’s only title came in 1985.
