Live updates from AHSAA Championship Saturday at Legacy Arena

The 2024 AHSAA state basketball tournament concludes at Legacy Arena with the Class 5A, 6A and 7A titles being decided.

The Hazel Green girls go for an unprecedented seventh straight state titles. The Hoover boys and girls try to sweep the 7A crowns for the second year in a row. And, oh yeah, there will be another Caleb Holt sighting as his reigning champ Buckhorn Bucks take on Mountain Brook in a rematch of last year’s 6A title game.

FIRST UP, CLASS 5A GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP: Jasper (30-4) vs. Scottsboro (27-6), 9 a.m.

8:34 AM, The matchup: Either Jasper or Scottsboro will win their first state championship this morning. Jasper defeated Brew Tech in the semifinals. Scottsboro knocked off Gulf Shores.

CLASS 6A BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP

CLASS 7A GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP
