The Blazers (4-3) are coming off an upset loss at home to McNeese State and currently rank 131st in the KenPom rankings.

After dropping its first two games of the season, against one-loss Bradley and undefeated Clemson, UAB reeled off wins against Maryland, two-tine reigning SWAC champion Alcorn State, Middle Tennessee State and reigning SoCon champion Furman. However, the loss to McNeese State uncovered glaring deficiencies in a team full of transfers and a handful of returners.
