Live updates: Alabama’s Kalen DeBoer, coordinators preview Georgia game
No. 4 Alabama football begins SEC play this week, and it starts things off with a colossal matchup. What is perhaps the best game of the season in college football.
No. 1/2 Georgia (3-0) is set to face the Crimson Tide (3-0) on Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC) at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart made the trip in 2020 for a regular season game, but considering that was during the COVID-19 season, it wasn’t anywhere close to a full crowd. So this will be his first trip back to a full Bryant-Denny Stadium since he took the Georgia job almost a decade ago.
Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer along with offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan and defensive coordinator Kane Wommack will hold their weekly press conferences starting at 11:30 p.m. CT to discuss the matchup.

- Sheridan said it’s about execution, when it comes to sustaining drives. “I don’t think that’s different this week as it is in the past. Obviously the opponent is excellent, so the attention to detail is heightened” but the team that executes the best will win the game, Sheridan stresses.
- Sheridan on Georgia safety Malaki Starks: “The thing that stands out is his versatility as a player.” Sheridan noted that Starks can play different spots and different techniques.
