Live updates: Alabama vs. UCLA in WCWS score, weather delay and more
Alabama softball’s 15th Women’s College World Series is set to begin Thursday at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. The Crimson Tide, the No. 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament, is matched up with No. 6 UCLA.
The game was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT, the first game of the WCWS. The event is currently under weather delay, due to lightning in the area.
The Crimson Tide caught fire after the SEC Tournament to begin its run to the WCWS. Alabama won the Tuscaloosa regional, before heading to Knoxville for the super regional.
UA dropped the first game there to No. 3 Tennessee, before winning a 14-inning epic in game two, and taking the rubber match due to a Riley Valentine grand slam in the fourth inning.
