Live updates: Alabama-Tennessee clash as Tide looks to extend historic streak
Alabama is at Rocky Top and there’s a buzz around Neyland Stadium. The No. 6 Tide (6-0. 3-0 Southeastern Conference) faces No. 3 Tennessee (5-0, 2-0) for one of the most anticipated games of the 2022 college football season.
The Volunteers are looking to turn a dream season into a historic one by ending the Tide’s 15-game winning streak. Josh Heupel has Tennessee humming with an elite offense led by sixth-year quarterback and Heisman Award contender Hendon Hooker. Nick Saban’s group is at least starting Saturday with a question under center as the health of Bryce Young lingers over the 2:39 p.m. CDT kickoff.
Multiple reports said Young is “expected” to start after spraining the AC joint on his right-arm two weeks ago in Arkansas. If Young can’t go, it’ll be redshirt freshman Jalen Milroe making the second start of his career after an “anxious” debut.
Follow along here for updates as the Tide and the Vols clash for the 121st time in this rivalry’s vast history.
