Live updates: Alabama takes on Missouri in SEC tournament semifinals

Alabama is one win away from a chance at a Southeastern Conference tournament championship. To get to Sunday’s finals in Bridgestone Arena, the Tide will need to beat Missouri for the second time this season.

The Tigers (24-8, 11-7 SEC) are winners of five straight, knocking off five-seed Tennessee shortly after Alabama (27-5, 16-2) handled Mississippi State. The teams met once before, on Jan. 21 at Mizzou, when the Tide easily won by 21 points. However, the Tigers were missing its leading scorer and Huntsville native Kobe Brown, who was ruled out with an ankle injury shortly before tipoff.

Missouri is in the SEC semis for the first time in program history. The Tigers rank seventh nationally in adjusted-offensive efficiency per KenPom, but 188th in defense. It’s a reversal of Alabama’s Friday matchup against the Bulldogs, who featured an elite defense but weak offense.

AL.com is courtside for a 12 p.m. tipoff that’ll air on ESPN. Follow along for live updates.
