Live updates: Alabama softball faces Oklahoma in Norman super regional
Alabama softball made it through the NCAA Tournament’s Tuscaloosa regional without a loss. Now, the real challenge has arrived.
The Crimson Tide is set to face Oklahoma, the No. 2 seed in the tournament on Saturday, to begin the super regional round. Making things even more difficult, the Sooners are at home, hosting the super regional in Norman.
It’s a difficult task. However, Patrick Murphy’s Tide might be up to the challenge, having already beaten Oklahoma twice this year, albeit in regular season games in Tuscaloosa.
Still, Alabama isn’t likely to simply lay down for the four-time defending national champions. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT in Norman, and will be aired on ESPN 2.
