Live updates: Alabama-LSU injury updates, score and analysis from SEC West clash

No. 8 Alabama has an opportunity to avenge a 2022 loss to No. 14 LSU and earn a crucial head-to-head tiebreaker in the SEC West.

The Crimson Tide can’t clinch a trip to the SEC championship on Saturday night, but it can get one game away. UA (7-1, 5-0) would need just one more Ole Miss loss, or a Tide win either at Kentucky or Auburn, to book a trip to Atlanta. In its way on Saturday night is coach Brian Kelly and LSU’s top-rated offense.

The Tigers (6-2, 4-1) lead the country in scoring offense (47.4 points per game) and total offense (552.9 yards per game). At the forefront is quarterback and Heisman Award contender Jayden Daniels. Daniels led a game-winning drive in Baton Rouge a year ago to win in overtime and continues to present a threat with his arm and legs.

A rolling Alabama defense will be tasked with stopping the visitors. UA has allowed more than three touchdowns just once this season, Week 2 in its 34-24 loss to Texas. Meanwhile, LSU hasn’t scored fewer than 30 points since Sept. 30.

Follow along for live updates, analysis and injury updates as Alabama and LSU meet under the lights in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m. CT and will air on CBS.
