Live updates: Alabama looks to fend off WCWS elimination against Stanford

Five-seed Alabama softball will need to go on a run in Oklahoma City to win its second-ever national championship.

After losing on Thursday to four-seed Tennessee, 10-5, yesterday, the Crimson Tide will need four consecutive wins to reach the championship series. Its first test will be against eight-seed Stanford. The Cardinal dropped its first game to one-seed Oklahoma, 2-0, to set up a rematch of last year’s Tuscaloosa regional, which Stanford won.

First pitch will be at 6:06 p.m. CST and will air on ESPN. Follow along for live updates from USA Hall of Fame Stadium.
