Life’s a Process: Nick Saban grows a mustache

The Alabama men’s basketball team is in Phoenix for the Final Four. It’s the team’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament’s national semifinal in school history. Everyone’s jumping on the bandwagon, but Coach Saban has been a supporter of the basketball team for a long time.

Normally Coach would give the team an inspiring pregame speech, but this time the GOAT is stepping up his fandom to the meet the specific challenge of Saturday’s game against UConn. One might say Coach’s appreciation for Alabama basketball player Grant Nelson has grown as the team has progressed through the NCAA Tournament.

Does Miss Terry approve of Coach’s dedication to the crimson cause? Let’s just say that Coach might have less free time after the NCAA Tournament is over.

ABOUT LIFE’S A PROCESS

Nick Saban isn’t coaching anymore, but that doesn’t mean Alabama’s legendary football coach is finished developing as a person. Life’s a process, after all, and when one chapter flips its last page there’s a new one ready to begin.

A new collaborative project at AL.com involving cartoonist J.D. Crow and sports columnist Joseph Goodman is here. Being such enormous fans of Miss Terry and the husband she turned into the greatest college football coach of all time, J.D. and Joe got together and combined their love of creative storytelling. A new cartoon strip starring Alabama’s favorite power couple was born.

“Life’s a Process” is the name of the strip. It’s a celebration of life and love, and it’s going to be featured on AL.com. Don’t think of the Sabans as retired. That’s what Coach Saban would say. Just think of them as beginning a new journey. Every great journey has a captain, and we all know that Miss Terry will steer this ship in the right direction. Life’s a process and we never stop learning from those we love.
