Legendary MLB star hits $10,000 halfcourt shot
Alex Rodriguez showed off his shar-shooting skills over the weekend.
The former MLB all-star, who now works as an MLB analyst for Fox, came out of the stands to hit a halfcourt show during Bucknell’s game against Army.
In hitting the shot, Rodriguez won a student $10,000.
The former Yankees star banked the shot.
“We’ve converted him from a Phillies fan to a Yankee fan,” Rodriguez said of the student, who is from Philadelphia, per The New York Post.
The three-time MVP was at Bucknell to speak about his company Jump Platforms, which he founded with two other entrepreneurs, Jordy Leiser and Marc Lore. Lore and Leiser graduated from Bucknell, and Leiser is a trustee.
Rodriguez hit 696 career homers with the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees.
