Lee Corso gives Alabama-Michigan, Texas-Washington picks ahead of CFP
Lee Corso made it known Saturday who he believes will be playing in the College Football Playoff national championship.
Corso revealed his picks to Kirk Herbstreit, who posted the remarks on social media prior to their takes on on ESPN’s “College GameDay” in Pasadena.
“I have Texas,” Corso said. “I picked Texas to win it all.”
Texas meets Washington, who Corso pointed to as a team who won the last four games by just 12 points, on Monday in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
But who will Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns play.
“I pick Michigan,” Corso said. “Michigan has the best balanced offensive team that Alabama has faced in a long, long time. Quarterback can throw it, and the line, the offensive line is so special.”
No. 1 Michigan faces No. 4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1 at 4:30 p.m.
The guys also talked Missouri’s win over Ohio State. Running back Cody Schrader ran for 128 yards and bulled into the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown to open the fourth quarter with Missouri’s first score, and the ninth-ranked Tigers capped an 11-win season with a 14-3 win over No. 7 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.
