Leafly Boba Bar is coming to Birmingham’s Urban Supply early next year.

The Huntsville-based brand, owned by Huy Vu, Keoni Evans and Minh Vu, will occupy a 1,300-square-foot space at 1227 First Ave. S., Unit 105, at Urban Supply.

Founded in 2022 in Huntsville, Leafly Boba Bar offers high-quality bubble teas with real ingredients.

“Urban Supply is all about bringing new, exciting concepts to our city and Leafly Boba Bar fits right into that mission,” Drew Watson, senior development manager, said. “We’re looking forward to welcoming this fresh and unique business to Urban Supply and proud to support entrepreneurs like Huy, Keoni, and Minh as they bring their passion for boba to our community.”

Leafly Boba Bar’s menu features traditional bubble tea with specialty flavors, made with premium loose-leaf tea, flavored with 100% natural fruit purees, and sweetened with house-made syrups from all-natural cane sugar.

“Some of my most memorable years were spent in Birmingham, but my friends and I always craved boba and there weren’t any options in the city,” owner Minh Vu said. “We want to do our part in sharing Asian tea culture with Birmingham with the hope that our guests will make drinking tea part of their daily routine. It’s not just a drink, it’s an experience to be enjoyed with your loved ones and I’m excited to bring this experience to Birmingham while also contributing to the growth of the city.”

The modern design of the Birmingham location will featurethree distinct seating areas with booth seating, industrial chairs and stools, wood-finished tables, and exposed shelving. Large wall graphics and a bold color palette of black and bright yellow against neutral tones will infuse character into the fresh, modern space. Katerina Kohlwes of Mindful Design Consulting is behind the project’s design.

Urban Supply, located in the Parkside District, spans multiple blocks and features six properties connected by a pedestrian-only aisle created from a repurposed alleyway.
