Latest approval ratings for Kay Ivey, Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt
Kay Ivey remains one of the most popular governors in the country.
The latest polling from Morning Consult shows 61% of respondents approved of the job Ivey was doing compared to 33% who did not. That put Ivey just ahead of Connecticut Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont (61% approval vs. 34% disapproval) and behind Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (61% vs. 27% disapproval.)
Ivey, who is serving her second full term, has consistently been ranked among the top 10 in Morning Consult polling. The poll was conducted Jan. 1-March 31 with a representative sample of registered voters in each state with a margin of error of plus/minus 1-6 percentage points.
The most popular governors were Phill Scott, R-Vermont (78% approval vs. 14% disapproval); Mark Gordon, R-Wyoming, (67% approval vs. 24% disapproval); and Chris Sununu, R-New Hampshire (66% approval vs. 29% disapproval.)
The governor with the highest disapproval ratings were Tina Kotek, D-Oregon (42% disapproval vs. 39% approval) Jim Pillen, R-Nebraska (45% disapproval vs. 30% approval) and Katie Hobbs, D-Arizona, (47% disapproval vs. 36% approval).

The same Morning Consult poll shows 66% of respondents in Alabama disapproved of the job President Joe Biden is doing compared to 31% who approved.
Approval ratings for Alabama’s two Republican Senators – Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt – are much higher. Of those polled, 50% approved of Tuberville’s performance with 32% disapproving and 18% uncertain. Britt’s approval rating was 49% with disapproval at 22% with 29% uncertain on the performance for Alabama’s freshman Senator.
