Late child star’s mom reacts to Adam Sandler honoring him in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Cameron Boyce’s mom took to social media to speak out about Adam Sandler’s tribute to her late son in “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Libby Boyce thanked Sandler on Instagram for including her son in a scene at the beginning of the movie.

Cameron Boyce died in 2019 after an epileptic seizure in his sleep at the age of 20.

“Thank you (Adam Sandler)for honoring Cam’s legacy in Happy Gilmore 2,” she posted.

Cameron and the Sandler starred together as father and son in 2010’s “Grown Ups” and the 2013 sequel.

She posted a screenshot of the scene, which included a clerk watching the Disney Channel show “Jessie” on a small TV on the desk.

Boyce played the role of Luke Ross in “Jessie” from 2011 to 2015.

“Adam and Cameron talked quite a bit in the days leading up to his death,” Libby posted. “Cameron was supposed to be in Hubie Halloween and they were strategizing.

“They had a bond I think related to being authentic, funny and just keeping it real. Adam always finds a way to keep Cam’s memory alive which warms our heart.”
