Last chance to get Disney+ before price increase, annual subscription plan available

The Disney+ price hike goes into effect Thursday, Oct. 12, but there is still time for you to get the streaming service at the pre-hike rate.

Disney+ without ads costs $10.99 a month, but will soon increase to $13.99 a month. However, Disney+ with ads will remain at $7.99 a month.

The streaming platform has an annual subscription plan that gives subscribers a slight discount for $109.99 (which comes to about $9.16 per month). This option will disappear following the price increase.

At the same time, Hulu plans to increase its ad-free subscription plan from $14.99 to $17.99 a month.

However, the Hulu + Disney+ ad-supported bundle will remain at $9.99 a month.

The Disney Plus price increases were announced by CEO Bob Iger in August, and it marks the second time in less than a year that the service has increased the monthly price for its ad-free streaming service. In December 2022, Disney+ increased from $7.99 per month to $10.99 per month. Now, at $13.99 per month starting Thursday, Disney’s streaming service will have nearly doubled in price since this time last year.
