Kyle Chrisley, son of imprisoned ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ stars, arrested for aggravated assault

The Chrisley family can’t seem to stay out of trouble, as son Kyle was arrested Tuesday on assault charges.

The arrest comes roughly two months after Chrisley’s reality-star parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, began doing time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.

A source at Rutherford County Jail in Tennessee says Kyle was arrested and booked by the Smyrna Police Department on felony aggravated assault charges, but was later released after posting a $3,000 bond, reports TMZ.

Details as to what exactly happened and what led to the incident have yet to be released.

Kyle’s father, Todd, is currently serving his 12-year sentence while stepmom Julie has started her 7-year sentence.

“The Chrisleys have built an empire based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work,” prosecutors said at the time of their sentencing.

“The jury’s unanimous verdict sets the record straight: Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner,” they added.

The family was the subject of the reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” starring Georgia real estate tycoon Todd Chrisley. The show is still rolling out its 10th season on the USA Network.

The relationship between Todd and Kyle has been strained over the years. Viewers of the show know that Kyle had struggled with substance abuse issues for years and that Todd had gained custody over Kyle’s daughter, Chloe.

Kyle alleged that his father was using the girl for television ratings, causing their relationship to become even worse. However, Kyle has since said that he’s patched things up with his dad.
