Kohl’s closing 27 locations, including 1 in Alabama: Here’s the list
Another national retailer has announced store closures.
Kohl’s will close 27 ‘underperforming’ stores across more than a dozen states. It will also close its E-Commerce Fulfillment Center in May when the facility lease expires. The stores will all close by April 2025.
“We always take these decisions very seriously,” Tom Kingsbury, Kohl’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. “As we continue to build on our long-term growth strategy, it is important that we also take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams.”
The company said employees at the stores were offered severance packages or the ability to transfer to other stores.
After the closures, Kohl’s will have more than 1,150 locations.
