Kickoff time, TV schedule set for Alabama’s road game vs. Texas A&M

The kickoff time and TV schedule for Alabama football’s Oct. 7 road matchup with Texas A&M has been set. The game is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. that Saturday.

It will be aired on CBS. Texas A&M currently sits at 3-1 on the season.

The Aggies, led by head coach Jimbo Fisher, opened the season with a win over New Mexico before losing to Miami on the road. TAMU has won its last two games, starting with Louisiana-Monroe, followed by a 27-10 win over Auburn on Saturday.

Texas A&M will enter the Oct. 7 game following a neutral site game this Saturday with Arkansas at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tx., home of the Dallas Cowboys. The Crimson Tide will be playing its second road game in a row, following a trip to Mississippi State.

Alabama won last year’s matchup with the Aggies in Tuscaloosa. The game was quarterback Jalen Milroe’s first career start for the Tide, with Bryce Young missing the game due to an injury.

The game came down to Texas A&M’s final drive, when a suspect play call gave the ball back to Alabama on downs. The Aggies won the game in 2021, last time it was played in College Station.

That was one of just three TAMU wins in 15 games for the series. The others came in 2012, when Johnny Manziel led the Aggies to victory in Tuscaloosa, and 1967.

Alabama will next play Saturday in Starkville, a game that is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN.
