Kevin James to kick off stand-up tour in Alabama: How to get tickets

Comedian Kevin James, who has a new comedy special on the way, has announced a new string of stand-up dates that will kick off in Alabama.

The first of the newly announced “Owls Don’t Walk” dates puts James at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham on Feb. 29.

The tour will follow the release of a high-profile project: Amazon has announced that James will release “Kevin James: Irregardless” on Prime Video this winter. Amazon describes it as a family friendly but “hilariously unfiltered take” on parenting, marriage and other topics. The service did not reveal a premiere date.

James is best known for his leading role as Doug Heffernan in the sitcom “King of Queens,” but also has extensive acting and vocal credits in movies.

According to James’ website, presales for the show will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, including an artist presale using the code KJTOUR. General ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.com and other Ticketmaster outlets. Ticket prices were not immediately available.

The Birmingham show is the only Alabama date listed, though James also will appear March 1 in Biloxi, Miss.
