Kentucky man facing federal child-porn related charges in Alabama

A Kentucky man was arrested Sunday on federal child exploitation charges for alleged crimes that occurred in Alabama three years ago, prosecutors said Monday.

Aden Willis Yeager, 21, of Louisville, was indicted in the Northern District of Alabama with one count of production of child pornography, one count of coercion and enticement of a minor, one count of transportation of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, said U.S. Attorney Prim Escalona and FBI Special Agent in Charge Carlton Peeples.

The charges stem from incidents that occurred between April 2020 and October 2020 in Tuscaloosa County, prosecutors said.

“Summer is here, and children will have an increased online presence. I encourage parents to have open and ongoing conversations about safe and appropriate online behavior,” Escalona said in a statement. “My office, in collaboration with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, will continue in our efforts to protect our most vulnerable victims – our children.”

Yeager faces up to 30 years in federal prison if convicted of the production of child pornography charges, 10 years and a $250,000 fine if convicted of coercion and enticement of a minor and 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the possession of child pornography charges.
