Keep an eye on this Alabama receiver in 2025, says former captain
Ryan Williams is the most well-known receiver on the Alabama football roster. Germie Bernard is the veteran. Isaiah Horton is the new piece, transferring from Miami.
But former safety Malachi Moore didn’t mention any of those players when asked to name a player on the roster who has grown the most and can “become a dude.”
Moore went with a lesser-known name. At least for now.
“The biggest one would probably be Rico Scott,” said Moore, a captain on the 2024 team. “I just seen him really take his game to another level. He’s always been a hard worker, though. He’s never really complaining about playing time or anything like that. He’s always kept his head down and do what the coaches ask him to do and come out and put the extra work in. He’s looking good.”
Scott is heading into his second season with the Crimson Tide. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native caught five passes for 60 yards and one touchdown in 2024.
Moore was speaking with reporters Wednesday during the Alabama pro day at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility as he chases an NFL career. Moore’s eligibility expired after 2024, and now he is pursuing a career in the professional ranks.
