Kamarie Holland’s killer found guilty of capital charges in 5-year-old’s murder

The man who raped and murdered Kamarie Holland, the 5-year-old Georgia girl whose body was found in an abandoned east Alabama home, was convicted Friday of four capital charges in connection with her killing.

A Russell County jury found Jeremy Williams guilty of killing a child under 14, killing a person during a kidnapping, killing a person during a rape and killing a person during sodomy, WRBL reported.

Williams, 39, earlier pleaded guilty to rape and murder charges in Kamarie’s death.

He faces the death penalty when he is sentenced Monday.

During the trial on Wednesday, jurors were shown graphic footage of Williams’ sexually assaulting the girl, WRBL reported.

Some law enforcement personnel in the courtroom were fighting back tears as the footage was displayed, according to the station.

Williams confessed to raping and murdering Kamarie as well as his 1-month-old daughter in Alaska — a cold case that was reopened after the confession, WRBL reported.

The confession was made during a five-hour interview with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office in 2021.

When a sheriff’s deputy asked Williams why he was confessing he said it was because he “wanted to get right with God before he’s executed,” according to the station.

Kamarie’s body was found in an abandoned home in east Alabama in December 2021.

Kristy Marie Siple, Kamarie’s mother, had a sexual relationship with Williams, who said he was tired of Siple and asked for Kamarie instead.

Siple allegedly asked for $2,500 for Kamarie when Williams countered with $1,300. Although Wiliams agreed, he never paid Siple the $1,300, WRBL reported.

Williams recorded the abuse of Kamarie, which included forcing her to perform oral sex and making the girl smoke methamphetamine with him.
