Kalen DeBoer to speak in Mobile on April 17
Kalen DeBoer will be the keynote speaker for the annual Team Focus fundraiser in Mobile on April 17, it was announced Wednesday.
DeBoer is making his second straight appearance at the Team Focus event, now in its 17th year. Team Focus, founded by former college football coach and ESPN broadcaster Mike Gottfried and his wife, Mickey, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
The 2025 Team Focus fundraiser takes place at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza hotel in downtown Mobile. Tickets are available for $125 each, which includes dinner and access to a silent auction of autographed sports memorabilia in addition to DeBoer’s speech.
“As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Team Focus, I am filled with gratitude for how far we’ve come and the countless lives we’ve been able to impact over the years,” Mike Gottfried said. “This milestone is a testament to the power of mentorship and the incredible young men who have walked through our program.
“I’m excited that Coach Kalen DeBoer of The University of Alabama will be returning to Mobile for our 17th annual fundraising banquet. Coach DeBoer’s commitment to leadership and character aligns with the mission of Team Focus, and we look forward to welcoming him back for this celebration.”
Those interested in attending the Team Focus fundraiser are encouraged to register early, as seating is limited. Sponsorships are also available beginning at $1,250 for a reserved table of 10.
Team Focus was founded in 2000 by the Gottfrieds, and now operates chapters in three states. Its mission is to provide mentorship and guidance for young men without a father figure in the home.
