Juvenile family member charged in fatal North Alabama shooting of 2
A juvenile has been arrested following the fatal shooting of two people in New Market on Thursday.
WHNT is reporting the juvenile has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
The attempted murder charge comes because a third family was also wounded, according to WAFF. According to authorities, the suspect is related to all three shooting victims.
Madison County sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting in the 100 bock of Rose Valley Drive in New Market, the agency said Thursday afternoon.
Two victims, who have not been identified, were later pronounced dead.
According to authorities, a vehicle left the home, which touched off a pursuit with deputies. The juvenile, who was the driver, was detained at Winchester Road after crashing the vehicle.
The juvenile is being held at the Neaves Davis Center for Children.
