Juvenile charged in Montgomery shooting death of 17-year-old boy
A juvenile was taken into custody Thursday in connection with a Montgomery shooting that left a teen dead and a man wounded.
The suspect is charged with capital murder in the Feb. 1 killing of 17-year-old Jekobi Davis. He is also charged with attempted murder for injuring the surviving victim.
U.S. Marshals arrested the teen earlier today, said Sgt. Tina McGriff. His name and age have not been released.
He is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
Police and medics responded at 8:26 p.m. that Saturday to a report of two people shot in the 1200 block of Eastern Boulevard.
Sgt. Tina McGriff said Douglas was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Details surrounding the deadly shooting have not been released.
