Johnny Manziel joins ‘GameDay’ to make picks, gives Nick Saban ‘nightmares,’ but coach has blast

ESPN’s “College GameDay” was a complete circus during its final segment Saturday ahead of the Week 1 slate of games.

It was anarchy, and it’s what makes college football what it is.

The crew brought in former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel as the guest picker. Footage of the former Heisman Trophy winner beating Alabama in 2013 were shown.

“I have nightmares about those plays,” Nick Saban deadpanned to the delight of his colleagues.

Lee Corso joined the broadcast for the picks only to get up and leave in the middle of the segment. Kirk Herbstreit explained “he had to go get dressed.”

Speaking of getting dressed, Pat McAfee ripped his shirt off while giving his prediction on the Texas A&M-Notre Dame game as Corso returned in full leprechaun mode.

Complete madness.

It ended with Rece Davis asking Saban about it. In a rare moment, Saban looked thrilled.

“I never knew any of this,” Saban said. “I never experienced any of this. I’ve never been to anything like this. This is so much fun.”
