Johni Broome, Chad Baker-Mazara earn preseason All-SEC honors

The preseason recognition keeps coming for Auburn men’s basketball, this time highlighting multiple individuals.

Johni Broome earned the biggest honor, being named to the preseason All-SEC first team. Broome was named a third team All-American following the 2023-2024 season after averaging 16.2 points per game and 8.4 rebounds.

Alabama’s Mark Sears, Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler, Texas A&M’s Wade Taylor IV and Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr. made up the rest of the first team.

Chad Baker-Mazara was the other Auburn player to earn All-SEC honors, being named to the third team. Baker-Mazara averaged 10 points per game and shot 41.8% from 3-point range during the 2023-2024 season.
