Joe Milton hints he can throw 90-plus yards, reflects on viral throw: ‘I kind of just let it go’

While not saying it directly, Joe Milton hinted that he could throw a football 90+ yards.

We should probably take him at his word after he stole the show last month at the Manning Passing Academy when a video of him unleashing an almost 80-yard bomb went viral.

Truth is, he said, Thursday during SEC media days in Nashville, he admitted he doesn’t know how far he can throw it.

When asked about the viral throw by WNSP-FM 105.5 in Mobile, he explained Peyton Manning had the quarterbacks throwing post routes and over routes.

“I kind of just let it go,” Milton said. “It’s a mindset thing. As a quarterback once you feel like someone’s too far, then they are going to be too far from you, right? I kind of just let it go.”

Still, he hinted to College Sports on SiriusXM he can launch the football 90 yards.

Milton re-iterated he isn’t unleashing bombs for anybody.

“I’m not a ragdoll,” he said. “If someone offered me an object to throw it, I wouldn’t just throw it.

“I don’t feel that’s me being comfortable with myself. Sometimes, I would just do it to get someone riled out.”
