Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band to return to coastal Alabama in 2025
In 2024, the Coral Reefer Band chose an Alabama venue to launch its first tour after the death of founder and ringleader Jimmy Buffett. Now it has announced it’ll return in fall 2025.
The band’s show at the Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach last August was a pivotal moment in the band’s history, providing evidence that it could have career carrying on Buffett’s musical legacy. Since then, the band has announced a summer-fall run of shows with the Doobie Brothers.
That run ends Sept. 18 in Toronto. The newly announced show brings the Coral Reefers back to The Wharf on Oct. 24, a Friday. General public ticket sales start at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, via Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $20 plus fees.
According to promotional materials the band’s lineup will include Mac McAnally, Robert Greenidge, Peter Mayer, Jim Mayer, Roger Guth, Doyle Grisham, John Lovell, Eric Darken, Mick Utley, Nadirah Shakoor, Tina Gullickson, Scotty Emerick and Will Kimbrough.
“We are blessed with the task of honoring and continuing the musical legacy that Jimmy built over 5 plus decades,” McAnally said in an announcement of the new date. “We are so lucky both to have shared the stage with him and to share his music with all who love it.”
