Jimbo Fisher suspends 3 Texas A&M freshmen, per report

Three Texas A&M players, all freshmen, have been indefinitely suspended by coach Jimbo Fisher, according to TexAgs.com.

Receiver Chris Marshall, defensive back Denver Harris and offensive lineman PJ Williams were all named in the report. No reason was given for the suspensions in the report.

An A&M spokesman told The Houston Chronicle on Tuesday he was checking into the report.

This will be the second suspension for Marshall and Harris this season. Both sat out the Miami game in Week 3 due to a “violation of team rules,” per USA Today.

Texas A&M faces No. 15 Ole Miss on Saturday.

The Aggies (3-4, 1-3 SEC) are coming off a 30-24 loss at No. 25 South Carolina. The game was the third straight loss in league play.

Devon Achane ran 20 times for 99 yards for the Aggies. Hayes King was 17-of-32 passing for 178 yards, with a touchdown and an interception before leaving with an injury to his throwing shoulder in the fourth quarter.

The loss puts even more pressure on Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher, whose team started the season ranked No. 6. The Aggies seem to play just under the level of their opponents, losing by six to South Carolina, four to No. 6 Alabama and three to Appalachian State.

Fisher’s 2022 signing class was ranked No. 1 by 247 Sports.
