For the first time in several months, Jefferson County has a neutral housing market. This means home prices tend to be reasonable and homes stay on the market for a typical length of time, according to mortgage site Rocket Homes. For the majority of 2023, Jefferson County was a seller’s market, meaning prices tended to be higher and homes sold faster, as the Lede previously reported.
