Jax State’s KyKy Tandy named first-team All-CUSA

Jacksonville State guard KyKy Tandy has been named first-team All-Conference USA, it was announced Monday.

Tandy, a graduate transfer from Xavier, leads the conference in scoring this season at 18.3 points per game. The 567 points this season by the Hopkinsville, Ky., native are a Gamecocks program record for the Division I era (since 1995).

Tandy and Jax State (14-17) are the No. 8 seed for the CUSA tournament, which begins Tuesday at VBC Propst Arena in Huntsville. The Gamecocks meet No. 9 Florida International at 8 p.m.
