Janelle Monáe will take the stage in Birmingham this fall. The award-winning singer and actress is hitting the road to complement her upcoming album “The Age of Pleasure.”

On Wednesday, Monáe announced the North American leg of the “Age of Pleasure Tour.” Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on Aug. 30 at WAMU Theater in Seattle.

The tour stops at Avondale Brewing Co. in Birmingham on Oct. 4. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 7, at 10 a.m. CST through Ticketmaster. General admission ticket prices for the Birmingham show start at $71 plus fees, according to Birmingham-based promoter Red Mountain Entertainment. (Red Mountain Entertainment is a Live Nation company).

Ticket presales for the tour begin on Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m. CST and run through June 6. (Presale offers include promotions from Verizon and Spotify, as well as an official “Age of Pleasure” presale and VIP package promotion.)

Her first album in five years, the album features her latest single “Lipstick Lover.” The song’s official music video and “emotion picture,” directed by Janelle Monáe and Alan Ferguson, debuted on May 11.

More songs on the 14-track record include “Float,” featuring Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, reports Pitchfork.
