Jalen Hurts gets new target with Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Terrace Marshall to a one-year contract, the NFL team announced on Friday.
The former LSU standout becomes a target for former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts.
“That’s a blessing for sure, especially as a receiver running routes, you know who’s back there,” Marshall said. “You know that it’s going to be a quarterback that delivers you the ball, it’s going to be on time. He’s going to make the right decision, not just for him, not for you, for the team.”
A second-round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers in 2021, Marshall had 64 receptions for 767 yards and one touchdown in 36 games in three seasons. The Panthers released Marshall at the end of the preseason last year.
Marshall spent part of the season on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad before finishing the season with the Las Vegas Raiders. Marshall had three receptions for 41 yards in seven games for the Raiders.
The Eagles’ top wide receivers from Philadelphia’s 2024 NFL championship team return for the 2025 season. Former Alabama All-American DeVonta Smith had 68 receptions for 833 yards and eight touchdowns, A.J. Brown had 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns and Jahan Dotson had 19 receptions for 216 yards in regular-season play in 2024.
