Jacksonville State-Western Kentucky matchup picked up for national TV broadcast
Jacksonville State’s road matchup with Western Kentucky has been selected for an ESPNU broadcast, Conference USA announced Monday morning.
The Gamecocks (7-3, 6-0 CUSA) will face Western Kentucky (7-3, 5-1 CUSA) on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green, Kentucky; kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
If both teams win their games this Saturday, it sets up a potential winner-take-all contest between the Gamecocks and the Hilltoppers for the regular-season title in CUSA and hosting rights for the conference title game.
Regardless of the result of Saturday’s game against Sam Houston for Jax State, a victory against WKU would clinch a spot in the conference title game.
Should WKU lose to Liberty on Saturday and Jax State win, the Gamecocks would win the regular-season title regardless of the result of this game.
The CUSA championship game is set for Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.; it will be streamed on CBS Sports Network.
With the announcement, Jax State will have eight games on national television this season, seven of those being conference games.
Jax State’s next game will be against Sam Houston on Saturday at AmFirst Stadium at Burgess-Snow Field. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. and the game will be streamed on CBS Sports Network.
