Jackpot! Alabama cat lost for 14 months found near Las Vegas
Since December 2021, Tracy Cost has been desperately searching for her lost cat, Raven.
Cost began to lose hope she would ever find Raven again until she got a call recently that the cat was alive and well — nearly 2,000 miles away in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
“I can’t believe she was alive,” Cost told Las Vegas television station KLAS .
Raven was found by Elizabeth McGloin, who got the cat’s microchipped scanned, which revealed Raven was owned by the Cost family in Birmingham.
Cost theorized that Raven hitched a ride at a nearby truck spot to wind up all the way near Las Vegas.
McGloin said the cat showed evidence that she may have been inside a vehicle.
“It looks like she was in an engine when somebody started it and her ear may have been burnt,” McGloin told KLAS.
Cost and McGloin are appealing to donors to contribute funds to get Raven back home to Alabama. Anyone who wants to contribute was asked to contact contact 8 News Now in Las Vegas.
