Jabbawockeez dance troupe visiting Biloxi for shows at Beau Rivage
The Jabbawockeez dance troupe, known for its distinctive choreography and for a string of TV appearances going back to “America’s Got Talent” in 2006, will pay a visit to the Gulf Coast this summer.
The masked troupe has a lengthy history of residencies in Las Vegas and since 2015 has presented productions at the MGM Grand. In 2023, it will appear at some other MGM properties, including 10 shows across two mid-July weekends at Beau Rivage in Biloxi.
General ticket sales start at 10 a.m. Friday for those shows and for five shows at the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J., at the end of July.
The Beau Rivage shows will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, July 14; 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16; 3 p.m. Friday, July 21; and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23. According to information provided by Beau Rivage, the Jabbawockeez will present the company’s fourth stage production, “TIMELESS.” It’s described as “a sonically hypnotic voyage into the visionary minds of the masked members” in which “Familiar favorites and brand-new routines are supercharged with innovative production elements, breathtaking visuals and a mesmerizing laser effect. The show takes the audience along for a ride as the beloved characters land on Earth from outer space, in search of the quintessential music playlist that spans generations, locations and musical genres.”
The troupe won the first season of the MTV show “America’s Best Dance Crew” in 2008, leading to numerous appearances in commercials and other dance shows, awards shows, and cameos in TV series and films.
