Hosting a holiday party can be expensive.
A poll by Lendingtree found the 60% of Americans who host a holiday gathering this year expect to spend some $556. The biggest chunk of money – 84% – is going towards food and drink, followed by indoor décor (46%) an outdoor decorations (29%).
If you’re one of those people who is hosting the New Year’s Eve get-together – whether you plan on spending big bucks or making it BYOB – you will be glad to know many stores stay open on New Year’s Eve for those last-minute party supplies.
One of those stores is Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer.
Walmart stores will be open regular hours New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), meaning 6 a.m.-11 p.m. at most stores. Some services may have reduced hours, so check ahead with your location to confirm.
Business will continue on New Year’s Day as well, with stores operating on normal schedules – 6 a.m.-11 p.m. with sensory hours from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. nationwide. During sensory hours, music is turned off, lights are dimmed where possible and media is turned to static images.
