Maybe it’s a fluke that the forecast for Lower Alabama says we’re due for a long string of days where the highs reach only into the 80s – the low- and mid-80s, in some cases. Coastal veterans know how this works. Summer likes to feint, to draw us out, then smash down again with full force, a game that could continue well into October.

So, yeah, this could be a tease. But as long as the temps are what they are, the great outdoors beckons in a way it hasn’t since around the end of May.
