Is Jalen Milroe dealing with an injury? What Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said

Simply put, Alabama football quarterback Jalen Milroe hasn’t played as well lately.

Milroe completed 25 of 45 passes (55.6%) for 239 yards, one touchdown with two interceptions in the loss to Tennessee. His quarterback rating was 65.3. He also rushed for 11 yards on 14 carries and no scores.

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer was asked Monday if Milroe is dealing with any injuries.

“I think at this point in the year, I don‘t think there’s many guys who play a lot of snaps who don‘t have something and just working through it,” DeBoer said. “He‘s more than capable. As he goes through the week, you‘re just ready to play on Saturday. There‘s nothing that’s going to be holding him back from going out there and being able to help us get a win. I’m confident of that.”

The Tennessee game marked Milroe’s worst completion percentage this season, second straight game with two interceptions and first game without a rushing touchdown all season.

It was a far cry from the quarterback who beat Georgia while completing 27 of 33 passes (81.8%) with two passing touchdowns.

Milroe has thrown five interceptions over the past three games.

Milroe took full ownership for his struggles postgame.

“I gotta do better on my end,” Milroe said. “Playing with better detail and communication up front, and allowing our guys to line up properly with the communication, so going back, that’s something that we’re just going to build and get better at.”
